Just good friends make up a group of people that I have had the privilege to be included into ...
June, Richard, Chris, Midge and Janet are just a few of the group that visit each other on a regular basis on a Thursday to get together and craft. Each one of them have their own skill set but can turn there hand to some of the amazing makes that I have seen.. June makes the most lovely gifts and her main craft is crochet, June makes hat, blankets, toys and lots more .. This cat was a present for Richard and is one that I want to have a go at ....
Richard and Chris are both all rounder's, they can turn their hands to anything and last week we went to their home for a stain glass lesson. Richard gave us a talk on the basics and health and safety when cutting glass and how to handle it.. There is so much to go through before you can get down to business.. Lots of different glass to get to know and the tools to.. We then set to cutting glass all different thickness, cutting straight lines and slightly curved ones. It was great and I can't wait until the next visit when I can make something small.
Chris was a Chef and according to June has taught her so much, so you can understand how good the food has been on every occasion at the different houses. Chris and Richard did the panel for their front door and their home is filled with so much of their creations and art work to there is so much to see. Here's a picture of Chris and Richard x.
This week we are off to Janet's it will be just general sewing and chat so i will take some more pictures of the others and there work to show you.
The week before we were at June's and I did a free hand machine embroidery demo and this was what Richard made.
I am off to do some sewing now and hope to bring you some more makes as they go on from the Stitch & Bitch over the next few weeks .. Just before i go I wanted to share this blog with you.. I found it this morning via another page on Facebook and loved the design of this ladies quilts ... This is something I have not done for a long time now and still have three quilts to finish , after looking at this I think it is something I must re visit very soon enjoy.
